Carson got home on January 02, 2008 at 4:15 pm!!!! Adrienne and I arrived at the gym at 12:10 and waited for his arrival which was supposed to be at 1:15, then moved to 2:45, and then again to 3:15...The guys finally got in at 4:00 and walked into the gym to screaming kids and cheering family! I could not see Carson at first but Tara found him and started crying and pointed him out to me and I quickly followed suit with the tears! I stood up on the bleachers (in 5 inch heels, in case he couldn't see me) and then started waving like I was lost on an island!
Anyways so after the National Anthem and a prayer the CSM spoke and they released the families to find their soldiers so I rushed over to Carson, with Adrienne in arms, and pulling Stephanie behind me so she could take pictures and found Carson among a sea of ACU's. The crowd was so overwhelming for Adrienne that she started screaming but the second we walked outside she looked at Carson and held our her arms and smiled like a kid in a candy store!
The past few days have been wonderful!! We have pretty much done nothing but hang out and play with Adrienne and cook! I have, of course, gone picture crazy!!!!
